![]() ![]() I just mass horded peasants, pirates and sea dogs and 20k critt'd/counterattacked my way to an easy victory on Normal every time (in hindsight wished i played Hard or Impossible) Found the rage powers of the plump little dragon unenjoyable as well. Once re-rolled Warrior in Crossworlds (convinced the game was designed with Warrior in mind as the Mage tree is nerfed from Legends and the most OP skills in addition to the warrior tree skills are melee based skills like crit and extra counterattacks (oddly while not in warrior tree - are warrior focused)), found the game more enjoyable. After playing Mage to level 15, found it to be extremely weak (compared to I played Mage on Normal through to completion in Legends and was enjoyable). Also, if you want to play as a Mage in Crossworlds - don't. ![]() Crossworlds also introduces 'world spells' which i completely ignored. An example is there is a mechanic in game that allows you to essentially upgrade units (convert them) so that you could essentially always have access to all unit types in the game forever.which is lame. Crossworlds forces you to be the woman character (Legends let you pick from 1 of 3 unique characters) and Crossworlds felt a bit bigger, but not necessarily better - but was good. While neat - you still could essentially ignore all of it (which i did). So you get a lot of units now with instead of 1-3 passives - they now have 5-7.plus more special actions/spells (such as rage that orcs use to cast spells). Found the rage powers very interesting and fun and varied in it as well.Ĭrossworlds felt like the designers wanted to go crazy on new passives for units and jam orcs into the game. This was exciting as you could potentially ninja your way to find a great item in a store and use to beat some fools down for a while. In Legends - you could almost go anywhere as long as you could skirt around the enemy forces. Games later in the series forced you to "unlock" zones by finding maps and that meant you can't freely explore like Legends. But Legends allowed for more exploration and the story was neat and overall felt tight. Perhaps it was because it all was new to me and so i'l remember that game fondly. Of the 3, Legends seemed the most fun to me. So if you do decide to play AP, play Crossworlds as its all of AP + some new units/spells/etc. ![]() Crossworlds simply is Armored Princess+additional content. So the 3 main games really are : "Legends", "Crossworlds", "Warriors of the North". ![]()
